Pizza Hut’s online customers will soon be able to catch a few movie trailers while they wait for their meal to arrive.
in Demand, a video-on-demand company that contracts with cable operators such as Time Warner and Comcast, has partnered with Pizza Hut to offer movie trailers, video clips and trivia on the company’s website, according to Interactive TV Today.
Content generated on PizzaHut.com will also include movies available to order from the consumers’ cable provider.
in Demand also will work with Pizza Hut’s digital agency, TriadDigital Media, to launch the initiative, which is called “Entertainment Hut.”
The online component was developed by Triad.
From the story:
"This partnership is the perfect synergy between two in-home convenience products: the Pizza Hut home delivery service and the MOD cable platform," said Stacie Gray, iN Demand's chief creative officer. "Pizza Hut's dynamic Entertainment Hut is an original concept that keeps customers entertained online while waiting for their delivery. This partnership gives Pizza Hut a brand association with Hollywood's top-tier movie content, and consumers get an added menu item: new-release movies they can enjoy instantly on cable. It's the perfect recipe for a great night in."
