Prince St. Pizza launches personal-sized Sicilian pies

Prince St. Pizza is downsizing its signature Sicilian-style square pies with the launch of the Personal Prince Pie, a limited-time, personal-sized offering available beginning Sept. 18, the company announced in a press release.

The New York City-born pizza brand will offer nine varieties priced from $12 to $14, including its Spicy Spring and Naughty Pie. Each Personal Prince Pie comes with a complimentary dipping sauce. The new pies will be available exclusively through Prince St. Pizza's own online ordering platform and will not be offered through third-party delivery apps — a strategy CEO Lawrence Longo said allows the company to control pricing.

"Not every pizza night is a group project," Longo said in the release. "Sometimes it's one person, one couch and zero interest in splitting anything. We built this option specifically for that, and keeping it on our own ordering platform is how we hold the price where it is instead of giving a cut to somebody else."

The launch gives customers a smaller-format option for the Sicilian-style pizzas that helped build Prince St. Pizza's following while also encouraging customers to order directly from the brand.

Founded in Manhattan's Nolita neighborhood, Prince St. Pizza has grown to more than 20 locations across the U.S. and Canada.
