Report: Mobile-centric, reward strategies can foster customer engagement

To better engage consumers restaurants should deploy mobile-centric dining experiences and offer up rewards, according to a new report on loyalty strategies and trends.

The report, from Excentus, states friendly rewards that provide value and engaging mobile device experiences can lead to bigger revenue.

"Financial success in the form of increased business and strengthened loyalty from new and existing customers will be largely dictated by a restaurant's ability to satisfy diners with what they want— engaging mobile dining experiences and mobile-friendly rewards that deliver value seamlessly," said Megan Flynn, report author and executive vice president of program development, brand and communications at Excentus, in an announcement.

Excentus created the report based on surveys, current industry data, and restaurant loyalty leaders.

"When mobile technology and rewards that diners value are the key components of loyalty programs, restaurant operators can focus on delivering consistently great food and great service while the loyalty program works just as hard to bring more customers through the door," states the announcement.
