Say 'elote' to Blaze's seasonal pizza

Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza has introduced Street Corn pizza throughout North America today, featuring roasted corn, pepitas, chipotle ranch and chimichurri drizzle, layered atop red onions, red peppers, feta, mozzarella and a white cream sauce base. The seasonal offering comes with either the brand's original or gluten-free crusts, a news release said. 

"Inspired by traditional elote flavors, this pizza is a culinary fusion of roasted street corn done in a Blaze way," Executive Chef, Bradford Kent, said in the release. "I'm excited to share this fresh take on an old favorite."

"Elote" is open grill-roasted Mexican street corn that's coated with salt, chile powder, butter, cotija, lime juice, and mayonnaise or crema fresca, for those not up on their Mexican cuisine.

Blaze app users and email subscribers are getting a little extra encouragement to try the new item since the brand will give them a free drink with any street corn pizza purchase between Oct. 15 and 19.

Likewise, diners can add roasted corn and chipotle ranch to customize any of their favorites and roasted corn will also be featured as the seasonal ingredient on the Veg Out pizza.
