Unique Foods acquires Pizza Fusion, plans CBD-infused offerings

Unique Foods Corporation today said it has acquired the three-location organic food-focused, Pizza Fusion brand, as a wholly owned subsidiary. A news release about the acquisition said that Pizza Fusion was the world's first restaurant chain to adopt organic restaurant certification and in coming months will launch organic, gluten-free, CBD-infused and frozen pies under the brand. 

The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Unique Foods also has four wholly owned subsidiaries including Jose Madrid Salsa, Unique Tap House and PopsyCakes, in addition to Pizza Fusion. It also has a licensing agreement with Christopher Street Products.

Unique Foods also said in the release that through its partnership with Brewer & Associates Consulting it is launching an assortment off CBD Food products.

Pizza Fusion's mostly organic menu features an eclectic variety of gourmet sandwiches, salads, desserts, beer and wine. The brand is distinguished by its exceptionally green business model from delivering food in company-owned hybrid vehicles, and offsetting 100 percent of its power consumption with the purchase of renewable wind energy certificates, to building restaurants to LEED certification standards.
