Webinar to discuss emerging trends in foodservice

Empathica and FastCasual.com will present a roundtable webinar May 12 discussing the five emerging foodservice industry trends. The webinar, "Emerging Trends in the Foodservice Industry," will be held May 12 at 2 p.m. Panelists include Mark Williamson, executive director of Consumer Insights for Applebee's, and Gary Edwards, chief customer officer for Empathica.

Williamson and Edwards will cover the trends of:

• Customer engagement management
• Social media
• Mobility
• Employee engagement
• Dynamic segmentation

Each speaker will be presented with two questions surrounding both topics. Questions also will be taken live from the audience and will be answered by Williamson and Edwards. The roundtable discussion will be moderated by Valerie Killifer, vice president of Foodservice Media for NetWorld Alliance.
