American Pizza Community welcomes new members

Feb. 12, 2014

The American Pizza Community announced that The Streets of New York and Pieology have joined the coalition as new members. Members of the APC include large and small pizza brands and franchisees from around the country as well as vendors and suppliers that make up the pizza industry, according to a news release.

The coalition was formed in 2010 to advocate for policies affecting pizza companies and operators including menu and labeling information, fair wages, work opportunity tax credit, background checks, tax policies and small business access to capital. Last June, members of the APC met with more than 70 Congressional offices in Washington, DC to educate policymakers about how such issues affect their business.

"Pieology is very excited to be part of APC and partnering with some of the best operators and leaders within the space to share ideas and support one another in sharing with everyone the food we all love," said Carl Chang, CEO and founder of Pieology Pizzeria. "We feel blessed to be part of such a community and look forward to contributing to the efforts of APC in support of our beloved pizza industry."
