Crust, a Massachusetts-based pizza concept known for its Neo-New York style, has launched a franchise opportunity to expand beyond its two existing locations in Pittsfield and Williamstown, according to a press release.
Founded in 2020, the brand focuses on a dough-first approach using a blend of Italian flours. It utilizes a tech-driven process — including a dough rounder, dough press and electric conveyor oven — to deliver artisan pizza in a fast-casual format. Pizzas are assembled on a front-of-house production line designed for efficiency and speed.
"I'm excited to get Crust into more markets. We've been a fan favorite everywhere we've touched down, and we've built a concept that is approachable, simple and scalable. Everyone loves pizza — it can work just about anywhere," Jim Cervone, Crust owner, said in the release.
The company is initially targeting franchise expansion in the Northeast, specifically eastern Massachusetts, the Albany, New York, area, Putnam and Westchester counties, northern New Jersey and Long Island. Franchise opportunities are also available nationwide.
Crust provides franchise partners with comprehensive training and support, including site selection, buildout design, lease negotiation, staffing guidance and marketing tools. Cervone, who is also a CPA and custom builder, provides hands-on operational guidance to franchisees.
"With Crust, we've created something that stands out through the quality of our dough, our ingredients, and the experience we provide, and we're excited to see where we can take it next," Cervone said.
