Sept. 29, 2010

Fast Casual (, the leading online news and information source for the burgeoning fast casual dining segment, has published the fourth edition of its benchmark research report, "Fast Casual State of the Industry Report, Fourth Edition."

The 91-page report contains the exclusive results of a recent in-depth survey of 150 restaurant operators, covering everything from expansion plans to workforce management, from menu trends to marketing and advertising strategies.

“This is our most comprehensive survey to date,” said Fast Casual senior editor Valerie Killifer. “We took the best questions from the past three years and combined them into one comprehensive study and I’m amazed at what we’ve been able to discover. This is also the first year we broke the data out by segment, so restaurateurs can compare operations results among the big four categories: Sandwich, Bakery/Café, Italian/pizza and Burger/Steak/BBQ.”

The report contains more than 200 charts and graphs, laying out the results of the survey. In addition, it includes commentary from industry experts on topics ranging from branding to marketing to social media.

The Fast Casual State of the Industry Report, Fourth Edition is now available for download.

Topics: Business Strategy and Profitability, Customer Service / Experience, Financing and capital improvements, Food & Beverage, Franchising & Growth, Hot Products, Human Resources, Marketing / Branding / Promotion, Operations Management, Trends / Statistics
