San Francisco pizzeria adds waitlist camera

Oct. 18, 2013

Pizzeria Delfina, a San Francisco-based concept, has partnered with Dropcam to introduce "WaitCast" at its 18th Street location.

According to SF Station, the service is a WiFi video monitoring camera and cloud service. It streams video of the restaurant's waitlist board so customers can see the length of the line before deciding whether or not to drop in for a meal.

The Dropcam app can be downloaded on iOS or Android phones allowing users to monitor a live stream of the restaurant's wait.

Pizzeria Delfina plans to add the service to a second location next week.
