Blaze Pizza announced that it will open its 25th restaurant next month in Mission Viejo, Calif., and its 60th restaurant in New Orleans in December. The fast casual pizza chain is on track to open one new restaurant every six days for the remainder of the year, according to a news release.
Blaze Pizza currently operates restaurants throughout California and the Midwest – including Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Milwaukee and Louisville, Ky. In the second half of this year, Blaze plans 35 new locations, including in the metropolitan areas of New York, Miami, Washington D.C., New Orleans, Knoxville, Tenn., Raleigh-Durham, N.C., Boise, Idaho, Rapid City, Iowa, and Columbus, Ohio.
The company said by early 2015, it will be close to a national footprint, with locations planned for Boston, Las Vegas, Dallas, Houston, Albany, N.Y., Richmond, Va., and Phoenix.
Blaze Pizza also announced that two of its California restaurants (opened for 52 weeks) posted average weekly net sales of $35,308.
