Five pizzerias are on the move this week with locations spanning Florida, Ohio, Panama City, South Africa and the Middle East.
Donatos Pizza has opened at the SMG-managed Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio, the company announced. Donatos has signed a 10-year lease to become a tenant in the GCCC's Food Court & Shops on Level 1.
The store is located in a 1,328 square foot suite that formerly housed Noble Roman's Pizza and contains a "Grab & Go" counter with readymade pizza, salads and drinks that also provides catering and delivery.
United Arab Emirates-based restaurant developer Prime Hospitality signed a franchise agreement with Russo's Restaurants to open another Russo's New York Pizzeria location in the area. The store will be Prime Hospitality's fifth Russo's in the UAE.
Galloway, New Jersey-based 1000 Degrees Neapolitan Pizza Franchise has announced expansion across the United States and abroad, signing multiple new franchise partners and multi-area developers Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Ohio, California, Michigan, Arizona, Texas and Florida. Upcoming international locations are slated for Panama City, Dubai and Tanzania, South Africa.
A newMellow Mushroom Pizza Bakersstore is scheduled to open today in South Miami. Led by former South Miami Chief of Police Vincent Landis and his wife Judy and son Grady, the store will feature a "contemporary bohemian" interior, 52 draft beers and a full bar.
Washington, D.C.-based &pizzaannounced it has received a $10 million investment for growth and expansion.
The brand plans to leverage the investment for expansion of its stores in key markets, the announcement said. On top of its current locations in the DC metropolitan area, the brand has six more slated to open in the first half of 2015 in Barracks Row, Chinatown, Dupont Circle South, North Bethesda, Maryland and within Reagan National and Dulles International Airports.
